Now files archived to the LTO tape via my Win2003 server and put back on the Xserve are no longer associated with an application. I guess resource fork info is lost. Anyone know how to fix this? Mayoff Posted February 17, 2004 Report Share Posted February 17, 2004 Were these files originally copied from an NT services for Mac directory and then restored directly to a Mac? Retro may be handling the multiple data streams differently because the source was a Windows disk. You might needed to restore the files to a Services for Mac system and then copy them to the xserve. I found that the copy alone deleted the meta data. I have since tried to archive and restore directly from/to the xserve. I am getting incomplete transfers and wire errors. any ideas?
