waldorfm
Hello, I have retrospect workgroup server 5.11 running under windows 2k. Attached to it was a Adic Faststor7, which I replaced with a Adic Faststor22 tape library today. For some reason now it still shows only the Faststor7 slots, but not all the remaining (new) slots. I can operate the tape library within Retrospect and everything seems working fine, but again it only sees the number of slots (7) from the previous drive. I tried device scan, refresh, monking around in the registry, re-installing. What else should I do please? Thanks in advance and best regards, waldorfm@rferl.org
AmyJ
Try temporarily removing your configuration files (config_5.bak, config_5.dat) from the following directory: C:\Program Files\Dantz\Retrospect Launch Retrospect, enter your license code and check Configure > Devices. waldorfm
After moving the exitsting config_5 files out of the way it finally sees all the drive slots. But I lost all my configuration, such as scripts and client database. I moved the previous config_5 files back in and I have the same problem again. What should I do please. Mayoff
Sounds like the preferences could be damaged. You may be forced to login clients again and rebuild scripts.
