jwaatcaroldotnet
quoting from :http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q297107 Cause When you use the ! logging option and there is no fatal error during the installation, the Windows Installer creates a RunOnce registry key with invalid characters. Resolution To resolve this problem, run Setup without the ! logging option. For example, use a command line similar to the following: e:\setup.exe /L*V C:\verbose.txt It is not necessary to use the ! logging option if you are installing Office on a computer that does not stop responding (hang) during installation. Status Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
