jturnbull
Using Retrospect Desktop v5.6.132 with Windows XP (Home). If I attempt to go directly to using Retrospect after booting-rebooting (without having used any other Applications) the computer spontaneously reboots as soon as the Retrospect splash screen appears. If I use any other Applications prior to choosing Retrospect, it runs properly without any reboot problem. Obviously, this is not a critical problem although it is a bit annoying. Does anybody have any idea of why the spontaneous reboot occurs on attempting to directly start Retrospect?? Thanks. jturnbull
Thanks for the thought . . . but, no, I don't have a Smart Card Reader attached. Any other ideas? Jim Turnbull 6/07/
lv2ski
Any usb devices? Scanner, printer etc? Remove them see if it helps. Turn off XP System Restore - this can also cause it.
jturnbull
Yup, lotsa that stuff . . . USB scanner, tape drive, Wacom tablet, printer, etc., etc. I'll see what can be traced on those. Many thanks for the help. Jim Turnbull 6/07/
