whalley
I have installed Retrospect Server 5.6 on a Windows 2000 server box. The installation was done from a downloaded version as opposed to the CD version. Also, the installation was done when logged in using an administrator account. I configured Retrospect and scheduled it successfully. I want to have another person use Retrospect. When she is logged on to the server and tries to run it, the installer fails ("Problem with Shortcut", "Fatal error during installation", etc.). I have made her an administrator but I still get the same error. Also, I have tried to directly install Retrospect while she is logged in but I receive the same error. I would hope that I can get her set up under her login. I do not want to give her the administrator password, nor do I want to permanently include her in the administrator group. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
lv2ski
Retrospect does require install while running as admin, and it sounds like this user does not have 100% admin access. That is all I can come up with in this situation.
