donbob Posted March 24, 2002 Report Share Posted March 24, 2002 I am evaluating Retrospect Desktop and am having problems using my CDR (Yamaha 8424EZ). The software seems to hang during the compare phase of the backup or while doing a verify. Once Retrospect hangs the seek led on the CDR continue to blink and it will not respond to the eject button being pressed on the front panel of the drive. The only way to get the drive out of this mode is to restart the system. I have checked the firmware version of the drive and it is up to date. I am out of ideas on this end. Can you help?
