help! client is not visible on network

Hi,

 

Check the client on the client machine and see what it says in the Status window. If these are OSX machines, try running a portscan via Network Utility to ensure that port 497 is open. What operating systems are all the machines? What version of Retrospect are you using exactly, and what version of the client? You say "There is one computer on our network that gives error -1028..." does this mean there are other clients that are working without problems?
