renaud Posted April 29, 2004 Report Share Posted April 29, 2004 I use retrospect in order to backup files coming from my differents servers. I use a FireWire LaCie disk. I launched my scripts but unfortunately it's really low and low..... The performance counter indicates 70Mb/min.... that nearly means 1M/sec What could produce that ? I run Retrospect 5.0.205 under a G4 400 with OSX 10.2.8 and 512Mb Ram...It takes nearly 8 hours to make a 22Go Backup. Anyone could tell me what's happening ? natew Posted May 14, 2004 Report Share Posted May 14, 2004 Hi First of all update to Retrospect 5.0.238. Take a look at your CPU usage when the backup is running. I suspect you will see the CPU is running at close to maximum. CPU usage is especailly high when you have software data compression turned on.
