WhiskeyRobber
My log shows the start of my 4:00am backup (to external drive) but it never finishes. Never says "successful" or the amount of errors... Only happens with this source drive. Other scripts log as expected. And, if I check the drive, it appears as the script did run and completed it's task. Just doesn't end up in the log?
nekr0phage
Hi, If a log is cut off this typically indicates that Retrospect exited unexpectedly. If this was a client computer, it is possible that the backup machine lost connection with the client and was unable to complete the backup, however this would typically result in a network error such as error -519 (network communication failed). WhiskeyRobber
No one is on this machine at 4:oo am and I don't see any errors show up in the log. The weird thing is it appears to be working, just not adding any info to the log?

twickland
Is Retrospect configured to quit after execution in Special> Preferences> Unattended? If you change that to "Stay in Retrospect," does that change behavior after running the script in question?
nekr0phage
Hi, It should definitely list some stats about the duplicate operation. If you run an immediate duplicate of the same source do you get any additional info in the ops log?
