My log shows the start of my 4:00am backup (to external drive) but it never finishes. Never says "successful" or the amount of errors...

 

Only happens with this source drive. Other scripts log as expected.

 

And, if I check the drive, it appears as the script did run and completed it's task. Just doesn't end up in the log?

Hi,

 

If a log is cut off this typically indicates that Retrospect exited unexpectedly. If this was a client computer, it is possible that the backup machine lost connection with the client and was unable to complete the backup, however this would typically result in a network error such as error -519 (network communication failed).
