firecat
I'm having a problem with Retrospect on my Mac G4 computer backing up to an Iomega external Hard Drive. I started getting error messages that the disk was full, so I performed a recycle back up, and now I'm getting error messages that it can't find the catalog and/or can't open the catalog - whatever. I would like to start over again, but can't remember how it was set up before. Could someone help me with this?
nekr0phage
Hi, You might just go to Automate>Scripts>Easyscript and follow the wizard to set up a new backup. I would recommend using a file backup set. If your Iomega drive is connected via firewire, make sure it is not daisychained with anything else so as to avoid communications issues. firecat
Thanks - should I delete the ones I currently have in there and just start from scratch?
nekr0phage
I would go through set and create new backups, then delete the old ones. That way you don't need to worry about being unprotected if you run into any more trouble getting the backups going.
firecat
Thanks Foster. Unfortunately I don't really remember how I set up the back up to begin with! I keep getting messages saying that the set isn't ready. I can't remember what the exact message is, but will return with it when I get it again.
