yousaf
Does anyone know if this drive is supported (according to the database it is not) or whether support is to be added soon? Also, having not seen one of these in action (or a LIB162), can someone explain how the tapes get loaded? Does retrospect automatically change the tape according to the backup day? Do you have to manually change the tape? Does it simply select the next tape when one is full? Would be grateful for any info Thanks
IrenaS
It is the mechanism of the drive that determines support in most cases. I'm assuming that "LIB81" is a model number? Unfortunately, it's not enough information to know if the device will be supported or not. Can you provide a bit more information on the drive? yousaf
Sony Storstation LIB81 - AIT3 1U rack Autoloader. The LIB162 (16 tape version) seems to be supported but the LIB81 seems not to be (confirmed with my last conversation with the local Sony storage rep.) see www.sonyisstorage.com
