Kirby Posted June 7, 2002 Report Share Posted June 7, 2002 I moved my data off my HD and then partitioned the drive and reinstalled the data on 1 of the partitions. I would like to continue backing up without starting over and backing up all of my data as if it was all new. The reason for that is I'm using CDRs for backup and it will take about 15 of them to start from scratch and lots of time. To further complicate things I'm using Retrospect 4.3 right now but in about 2 weeks I plan to install OS X on that other partition I made and then use Retrospect 5.0 running off OS X. Will this also entail starting from scratch? G4 Mac OS 9.2.2 backing up to the internal CDRW drive using CDR disks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
lv2ski Posted June 10, 2002 Report Share Posted June 10, 2002 If you go from one OS to another OS, Retrospect will want to copy everything all over again. If you remove all your data, and put all your data back on, Retrospect will want to copy everything again too. That is like brand new data to Retrospect.
