gsalami
Hi, I added a new client to the network. Then i wanted to add it to retrospect 6. It would not show up in the network list, and when i specify the IP adress i get the error (sorry its in german): ------------------------------------------------- Aktivator-Konflikt gefunden. Weitere Deteils finden sie im Protokoll. Durch wiedersprüchliche Informationen könnten Backups fehlschlagen. -------------------------------------------------- This means something like "activator konflict found" When i try to test the IP adress, i get the name of another client, which has another ip adress!!!! The network is runing fine otherwise. DHCP, and no konflicts! anyone any idea what to try? thanx in adwance! gustavo
natew
Hi What OS are the client machines running? How many free client licenses are available in the Retrospect License manager? Thanks Nate
gsalami
All clients are Running Mac OSX 10.3.5, and the Licence-Manager shows 39 Liciences Used and 61 Free. Thanks, Gustavo
natew
Hi Do any of the machines have dual network ports? I would try uninstalling the client using the client setup program, restarting the machine and reinstalling. You might need to do this on both machines. nate
gsalami
No, All of them have only one single Network Adapter. I will try to uninstall and install the client software. Thanks 4 your help! Gustavo
gsalami
I unistalled and installed the client software again, the conflikt was gone! Thanks a lot for your help! I think the problem could be that we install the software over a MAC OSX Image. Cheers, Gustavo
CallMeDave
>I think the problem could be that we install the software over a MAC OSX Image. Yes indeed it was. Image deployment usually requires installing the Retrospect OS X Client _after_ the machie is up and running.
