dfafard
Hi. I am having a problem backing up a Mac Powerbook G4 ( 10.2 ) to an iPod 15 gb ( as a firewire device ). Here are the steps: Using an immediate backup to backup the user folder contents to iPod.. Worked fine, Retrospect renamed the iPod to the Backup set name and created the backup. I then used an easyscript to create a daily routine. On all subsequent tries, something ( Retrospect or Mac OSX ) is locking the backup file on the iPod. If I unmount/remount the iPod, ' get info ' on the file, unlock it and run the easyscript, everythings OK. Just an inconvienance every time I backup. Any suggestions, work-a-rounds ? Thanks, Dave
natew
Hi, What Retrospect version do you have? Thanks Nate
CallMeDave
You should be doing this as a File Backu Set, not a Removable Backup Set (unless you have multiple iPods you expect to use to span the data across). Dave
