jimstrong
I am on the Retrospect 6 trial version and am trying to back up 3Gb to a drive on a networked Windows XP machine. I receive a -34 error "disk full" and a message "Can't add that much data to backup set. The limit is 2.0 G.". I know there is space on the disk, so what else might be causing this, please? I have no security/password set. Thanks a lot Jim
Mayoff
Appleshare filesharing limits you to 2GB as the maximum file size you can modify over the network. jimstrong
Sorry - I realise that I didn't give my Mac & OS details - I am on a G4 PowerMac and running OSX 10.3.2. I don't think that uses Appleshare (but not sure how I check)? Thanks Jim
Mayoff
Mac OS X Filesharing still uses AFP calls, which have this limit.
