griffitts Posted February 21, 2004 Report Share Posted February 21, 2004 I have a HP SureStore DLT1 connected via SCSI to a G4 (panther). Whenever Retrospect causes the tape so start winding Retrospect bogs down with the spinning pinwheel & I eventually have to force quit. This happens when I click on configure devices. The tape starts to wind, the media status says "running" then "rewinding". Then the status suddenly changes to "no media" before the tape stops winding and the pinwheel shows up. If I just tell Retrospect to start a backup job, the job starts, the tape rewinds a bit and then the pinwheel shows up again. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.
