12e173d2-fef3-451d-a3b4-9a65c5722fcc
Test environment: MacPro 10.6.7 updated, Retro 8.2 unlimited. Client: windows 7, retro client, latest7.6.xx on ethernet. The win7 client installs just fine. Run a manual backup. Next backup fails because retro can't see the client. Go to the win client and retro is turned off and options are grayed out. Since everything on the win client is grayed out, you can't turn it on or off or do anything. Remove and reinstall win retro client and the same thing happens. Any suggestions? tia
Mayoff
Try uninstalling the client and installing the 7.7 client software.
12e173d2-fef3-451d-a3b4-9a65c5722fcc
Tried the 7.7 client and the same thing. Runs through a script. The next script fails and the client is grayed out. The client appears to be running according to task mgr. We have a few other users that are using windows7 and is backing up just fine. I suspect this is specific to this user with software that is conflicting with the retro client. But, if anyone has run into this or has suggestions as to how to troubleshoot this I would be most appreciative. Thanks, Art
12e173d2-fef3-451d-a3b4-9a65c5722fcc
Still having this issue. Looking at the windows client event view > application logs says retro client (7.7.xxx ) is conflicting with ntdll.dll The Event ID is 1000 After one try the client is stopped and grayed out. Rebooting the client restores everything.
