WinoWally Posted September 15, 2006 Report Share Posted September 15, 2006 I'm new to Dantz Retrospect 6.0, having previously used--and been abused by--MS SBS Backup. My problem is in getting the RetroEventHandler batch file to execute and email me the results--particularly the "success" notice. The only event email it sends is a Media alert. I've placed the batch file in the Retrospective folder, and edited it as best I can, however I'm getting no "success" notifications. Retrospect is running on Win 2003 SBS. I even tried using Scheduler to execute the batch file, and it appears to do that without incident, but still no email! Is it required to format the email address as "name<emaillname@company.com>", or is "emailname@company.com" sufficient? I could sure use some help on this! Thanks to all. nekr0phage Posted September 15, 2006 Report Share Posted September 15, 2006 WW, If you get media requests then the address parts of the event handler should be configured correctly. There should be a section to indicate what types of email alerts you get. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the event at the moment, or I would take a look for the specific section.
