JoshuaThomas
I run Retrospect 6.5, and we have, in the past, cleared everything out and started fresh. Some time in the past week while I was out of town, an error occured. Now, when we try to load Retrospect, it gives us a "You are attempting to upgrade Retrospect" message and asks for a confirmation code, but there is no way for us to access the program further than that. Furthermore, the last good backup listed at the bottom of the program window is from some time in 2004. This is a major issue and I would like VERY MUCH to not have to start fresh and lose 2 years worth of backup data. Any suggestions would be appreciated. JoshuaThomas
The actual code it is asking for is the Application Upgrade License Code.
nekr0phage
Hi Joshua, It sounds like the configuration files became damaged while you were away. What happens when you enter your license code? Your backups should be fine, damage to the configuration file doesn't have any direct effect on your backed up data. JoshuaThomas
Well, unfortunately the binder with the license code in it appears to have been lost to the ages. I know it has been more than 2 years since the upgrade was done, and I was not here at that time. I am hoping that I will be able to find it, and soon. Wish me luck!
