aryndinn Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 Greetings: Currently evaluating Retrospect Pro 7.5 and quick question: 1. I have the option to display the Tray Icon turned on and after about a week it no longer shows up. I have tried turning the option off and on but it still doesn't appear. The product is functioning perfectly but was wondering why the icon disappeared. Also, this is the product I have been searching for. Awesome job! nekr0phage Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 Hi, Glad to hear you're happy with Retrospect. This being the support forums, posts tend to be toward the contrary. I haven't found they "why" for this occurance, but I've found that restarting the Retrospect launcher service tends to get the icon to show up again. Give that a shot and let us know if it helps. Went to preferences - unchecked Launcher Service - exit retrospect - run retrospect - check Launcher Service - exit retrospect - Tray Icon back. Thanks again. bprady Posted March 15, 2007 Report Share Posted March 15, 2007 I'm having the disappearing tray icon problem as well. I can get it to appear, as you say, by going into "Services" and restarting the Retrospect launcher service. It is annoying that it won't appear automatically when I boot.
