nekr0phage Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 Hi Flint, If you're seeing consistently delayed responses, perhaps there is a communications problem somewhere. Can you try changing your scsi cable/terminator, or somehow verify they are in good working order? Also, what are the scsi id's for the drive and library? Current SDX-700C firmware is 0207 (April 11, 2005): Sony SDX-700C firmware There is also a firmware update option for the LIB-162 in the Sony tape tool for Mac OS X: Sony LIB-162 And you don't say what Retrospect RDU you have: Retrospect updates I don't have this particular drive, but Sony firmware updated fine for our old DAT drive.
