ckimmerle Posted August 22, 2006 Report Share Posted August 22, 2006 WIn XP/sp2: I tried restoring a backup set with Retrospect Express 6.5 after losing a HD, but cannot open the restored folders. I get a text box with "access is denied". I can see the contents browsing from withing RE, so I know the files are inside the restored folder, just can't open the darned thing. The backup sets were also written with 6.5. Enuf frustration rebuilding a machine. Didn't need this I'ld appreciate any ideas. Thanks. For those of you interested the new installation of XP seems to have embargoed files created before the HD crash (under the previous XP installation), which protected the restored files.
