mwoinoski
Is it possible to perform disaster recovery with a disk duplicate (with Retrospect Desktop on W2K Pro)? I just duplicated my C: drive to an external USB drive. When I start the Disaster Recovery wizard, it wants the name of the catalog file. I can't find a .rbf or .rbc file on either the C: drive or the external drive (and I wouldn't expect Retrospect to create one for a duplication operation). Is there another way to create the disaster recover CD or do I need to use a backup set instead? I used a duplicate instead of a backup set because the C: drive backup set was too big for the FAT32 file system on the external drive. Thanks, Mike
lv2ski
If you duplicate from one drive to another, you must duplicate from that drive back to the orginal. A restore from a duplicate is just a duplicate back. You cannot do a Disaster Recovery CD from a duplicate. It must be done from a backup only.
