knouse Posted June 9, 2006 Report Share Posted June 9, 2006 When I try to backup to DVD I get an error -103, unexpected beginning of file. I first got this with Retrospect 6.5. It went away when I upgraded to v7. Then it came back. I upgraded to v7.5 but the problem persists. I'm using a Plextor PX-708A. What do I do about this? Can you check to make sure that you are not using a custom configured driver? Look in Configure>Devices>Environment and ensure that RDI is not displayed as part of the driver. Media: Memorex DVD+R 4X RW 4.7GB (single sided) Storage Devices window: There was no RDI displayed but I explicitly deleted any custom driver and then tried a backup.
