msiegel Posted February 22, 2006 Report Share Posted February 22, 2006 Hello list: I just purchased a Maxtor One-Touch II 200gig device--when installing the software I received the message: Retrospect has encountered a serious error: Assertion failure at “memutil.cpp-150” A log of this error has been written to the file “assert_log.utx”. When I attempt to open the Retrospect Express HD program, the entry screen opens and it say "Updating status... 0 restore points" and it just hangs there indefinitely. Does anyone have any solutions?
