yopc_mike
Hello, Maxtor newbie here. The problem I am having is that scripted backups are not finding backup sets on remvoable drives. My setup is this, Retropsect 7 Pro running on a Windows XP Pro "file server" on a peer-to-peer network. I have five client machines in the office. The backup is supposed to go to a 300GB Maxtor One Touch Drive connected to the file server via firewire. The problem I am seeing is that Retrospect will ask for a new location for a backup any time the drives are swapped out. My original plan was a rotating set of three drives, changed once every weekday, any tips on how to get Retrospect to use any of the attached drives? yopc_mike
I should add this, the script will run without prompting if I simply choose "execute", the problem seems to be limited to scheduled runs of the script.
natew
Hi Make sure you are using a different backup set for each disk. Thanks Nate

natew
Hi Yes. You must recatalog those files using the tools->repair functions in Retrospect. After the catalog is created you can restore from the rdb files. Nate
