GUSSKINAS
I purchased Retrospect to evaluate for use with the LTO-3 drive from HP. It works, but is far (4x) slower than other software that supports the drive on the same computer. Any tips on how to get more speed from retrospect (on xp pro)? natew
Hi How is the drive connected to the computer? Thanks nate
mkhuber
I am experiencing the very same problem, but it is with the LTO-3 drives in a HP MSL6030 library. My library and 1 of the drives is connected via channel 0 of the SCSI320 card and the 2nd drive is connected to channel 1. The server is running Windows 2003 SP1 on an HP Proliant 360DL, dual Xeon 3.2GHz, 3GB RAM, More details can be added if needed.
natew
Hi How slow? Can you run a test backup of a 2 GB file (not folder) and see how fast it goes? Some tape drive companies allow you to optimize the drive for speed or compression. Are there any utilites that let you change that?
