mkirk
The other day I was checking the logs of one of the servers at work using retrospect version 6 and found that the log said one of the computers was not backing up due to error code 557 meaning transaction already completed. I looked and the client is runnning and I rebooted the server but I would like a little more information about this error code and how to fix it. natew
Hi Retrospect version (6.0.xxx), client version, server and client OS please? Thanks Nate
mkirk
Hey Nate, thanks for responding. I'm not sure of the client version right now because it's in another building but I'll check. The server OS is server 2003 and the client is windows xp sp2. I think the client version is 6.5.xxx. Something like that, but i'll check on it.
natew
Hi Retrospect 6.0 hasn't been tested with 2003 so its hard to say what is happening. You should use the 6.0 client with Retrospect 6.0 backup servers. Thanks Nate
