rob_B30
Hi all I purchased a Maxtor Onetouch II to backup my SBS 2003 server, this comes with restrospect express HD. the device bundle was marketed as a complete backup solution to SBS, including backing up the AD, exchange and SQL server. the bundle also mentioned being able to create a bootable DR CD. however after installing the software I can see no way to do anything but FILES and cannot see how to create a bottable DR CD. Is this the case. if so gonna be very very annoyed see advert http://www.maxtor.com.au/portal/site/Maxtor/menuitem.ba88f6d7cf664718376049b291346068/?channelpath=/en_us/Products/External%20Storage/OneTouch%20II%20Family/Maxtor%20OneTouch%20II%20Small%20Business%20Edition
natew
Hi The SBS version of the Maxtor drive can back up open files from a local SBS server. It does not have specific Exchange and SQL backup capabilities but the databases can be backed up using the open file feature. You cannot create a bootable Disaster Recovery CD with the SBS version of the Maxtor software. Thanks Nate
