lieiti
With Retrospect 6.5, I was trying to create a Disaster recovery disc, when in the wizard I was prompted to insert my WINDOWS XP software to find the "txtsetup.sif" file i386 folder. However, my laptop only came with a "Recovery and Applications/Drivers DVD (Portege M200) which I inserted, but the i386 folder could not be found (I later learned that the i386 folder does not exist on this DVD as it it a ghost image of Toshiba's software package). Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? FYI: I own another legitimate copy of windows XP professional, but the OS version on my laptop is Windows XP TABLET EDITION (for a Tablet Pc), so I am hesitant to use the "txtsetup.sif" file from my XP Professional install disc. Would it be alright to do so, or would it screw the recovery process up? If it is alright to use, then which XP product key should I use? - Roy T. natew
Hi Since you have recovery discs from Toshiba you dont really need a disaster recovery disc. In the event of a crash, run the Toshiba recovery, install Retrospect and restore. Thanks Nate
