Phillips DVD8631 and DVD+R Media

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to custom-configure a DVD8631 with DVD+R media in R7 Disk-to-Disk.

When I insert the media and close the tray, Retrospect ejects it after about 5 seconds

and pops up the media request dialog again. It doesn't seem to recognize the media.

I have the latest driver update and installer versions. The media is Memorex DVD+R

(8x compatible).

Make sure all other burning programs are disabled when you run the configuration.

Make sure the disc has never been used by another application.

If it still doesn't work, try a different brand or type of media.

The last thing to try is installing ASPI using the ASPIINST.exe installer in the Retrospect program folder and enabling ASPI in the Retrospect preferences.
