bleckfield Posted September 7, 2005 Report Share Posted September 7, 2005 a customer of ours is using Retrospect Express 5.6, with a seagate travan 40 tape drive. everything has been running fine, except for te past couiple of days, the backup has not been running. it has been getting stuck and hanging when trying to detect the tape drive. i have checked in device manager, and the server can see the device. we have rebooted countless times, tried updating the travan drivers - but they are the latest. i havev also followed through the basic device checking techniques that are given in the pdf manual. but when checking for the device Retrospect hangs, on ID 3:1. i cannot even run a NTBackup as the removable storage service is not enabled and nabling it only hangs the server further. some help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance Chris Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
