PCUSHING Posted February 12, 2002 Report Share Posted February 12, 2002 Is there any way that I can find out when support for the subject CD-RW drive might be forthcoming? I recently purchased the drive (it is the latest available from HP) and also decided that Retrospect would be the backup-system-of-choice for my new Laptop. Then I found out that the new CDROM drive was not-yet supported under v5.6.132 (even with the newest driver). Running a periodic scheduled file backup to a shared drive on my Win/98 machine is NOT the backup-system-of-choice! Any assistance that can be provided would be much appreciated.. Mayoff Posted February 16, 2002 Report Share Posted February 16, 2002 The drive is not currently supported. I do not have an ETA available for when the drive support will be available. With any device, the testing process can take a very long time and in some cases devices may not be qualified due to hardware limitations.
