pabrown522
Express Version and WindowsMe: 1. My Programs directory, alone, is well over 5 gigs or more large which cannot be backed up in its entirety by creating a file backup set. But I want to backup the whole programs directory. This backup will be stored on an external hard drive. In adhering to the 4 gig file size limit, how do I break up the backup the program directory. Do I need use subvolumes or create individual backup file sets using the immediate tab or what should I do? 2. Considering that my system has been properly setup with the operating system how would I restore these split-up backup file sets? 3. Since I will want the entire Program Directory restored, does it matter which order these files are restored?
lv2ski
1. Subvolumes is your best way. Or do a duplicate instead of a backup. 2. You would restore one at a time. 3. No. It doesn't matter what is restored first.
pabrown522
Thanks for helping. I went with your suggestion about do duplicates. So far the duplication backup of both my C and D drives reported as successful.
