davekies
I am using a Western Digital 80G external for additional HD space for my 20G Gateway. I mistakenly backed up the Gateway on the WD80 and overwrote some newer and larger files with older versions (photos specifically). Some of the Folders existed only on the WD80 and are now gone. I tried a deleted file recovery program ("Getdataback") and it did not locate the missing/overwritten files. I think they are gone by way of being overwritten but I thought I would ask this forum for help. Is there a program or method available to recover folders that have been over written with older versions? Actually, some of the subfolders only existed on the WD80 hard drive. natew
Hi If the data was overwritten you are probably out of luck. You could try a data recovery service but that will not be cheap. Sorry Nate
