mallorcan
I wish to restore from a DLT tape backup to a network drive mounted on my Mac 9.2 Desktop G3. When I try the system allows me to select individual files and to select the mounted network drive but when it actually tries to restore it generates the folder with the catalogues name then sometimes quits giving the following error in the log. - 1/7/2005 2:35:05 pm: Retrieving from Backup 2005 PT2… Trouble writing files, error -1410 (unknown). 1/7/2005 2:37:27 pm: 1 execution errors. Remaining: 1 files, 327 KB Completed: 0 files, zero KB Performance: 0.0 MB/minute Duration: 00:02:22 (00:01:52 idle/loading/preparing) If I restore to a Firewire drive on the desktop it works every time. Any ideas Malcolm
natew
Hi After restore can you manually copy the restored files over to the network drive? I suspect this is a problem somewhere in the system. Can you try rebooting with base extensions and running the restore again? Thanks nate
mallorcan
Yes I can. Whats really puzzling is that I have now done more investigation and it does work from another catalogue. It appears to be just this catalogue. Not sure why any ideas? Thanks Malcolm
