gburch
Hi ... Sorry if this has been covered before, but ... I just purchased a Western Digital Dual Option backup drive to backup my Toshiba Satellite laptop. I'm mainly a Mac user and as such have used Retrospect quite succesfully for years. Could someone please walk me through the steps required to make a disaster recovery backup of my Tosh using the bundled Retrospect Express software? For example, do I have to reformat the FAT32 WD to NTFS first? TIA, G
natew
Hi You do not need to reformat. First, run a backup of the computer. Then get your XP SP2 install disk handy. If your install disc does not include SP2 you will need to get an install disc that does. Click on the prepare for disaster recovery button and follow the steps in the wizard. Let us know if you get stuck. Thanks Nate
