There are two ways to backup over AirPort:

1. Assign each AirPort client a static IP address.

2. Turn on Ethernet Bridging so the AirPort client gains an IP address from a DHCP server on the Ethernet network.

Where it will not work:

- AirPort is sharing its IP address to connected computers using DHCP. AirPort uses a technology called NAT. Retrospect will be able to see these clients via multicast, but will not be able to communicate with them.

Thank you for the note. However, that does not fix the problem. There are three desktops - two clients and one Retrospect 5.0 desktop attached to an 8 port switch on a 192. network. These are managed by a DHCP SMC Wireless router. There is one TiBook with an Airport card on the network which is also in the 192. network with the same subnet. Retrospect cannot find the laptop using 9.2 or OSX if the laptop is confined to the airport card. If the Laptop is plugged directly into the network via the ethernet port, there is no problem. Any other suggedtions?
