Guest Posted May 5, 2005 Report Share Posted May 5, 2005 Hi, I have just received my Western Digital External HD for backing up 2 HD's I have on my Win XP Pro. I'm looking for some advice as I find the help very hard to follow. Firstly I seemed to have installed everything ok and I made a backup of my C drive yesterday. This took over 12 hours to do and I wonder if this was correct. If I try to use the manual backup today it seems to want to go through the whole process and try to back up for another 12 hours so I presume I have set something wrong. I'm not too sure if I should be only saving 'Documents' rather than 'All Files' so that the process will be quicker. Also I can't seem to see how to get this to automatically backup my second HD that I have also have on my machine. I have spent nearly 3 hours reading the help but I'm very overwhelmed with all the jargon and I wonder if anybody can give me a few simple tips to get this up and running automatically so that I can let it do the work.
