rlj42 Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 I have Retrospect 7.0 Multi-Server on a Windows 2000 Server. I am backing up about 40 clients. I uninstalled the 6.5 clients, installed 7.0, and rebooted them. The operations log shows: Can't back up registry, error -557 (transaction already complete) File "C:\_NavCClt.Log": can't read security information, error -1001 (unknown Windows OS error) The first error happens for every client. The latter error is repeated for hundreds of files on every client. The log fills up with thousands of error messages and is of virtually no use now. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any help you can provide.
natew Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Hi If its happening on all your clients chances are its a server side problem. Did you upgrade the server from 6.5? I wonder if the import of your preference files didn't go well? Try dragging your Retrospect preferences folder out to your desktop and backing up a client using clean preferences in 7.0. The Retrospect preferences folder is located at c:\documents and settings\all users\Application data\Retrospect Thanks Nate
