RogerClarke
Hi I have just bought and installed Retrospect 7 for Small Business Server (standard). When I try to configure a device using the Configure/Device option I get an empty list with no devices showing at all. Not even the server’s hard disks. I then installed the ASPI drivers and configured Retrospect accordingly, now the dvd-rw drive shows but still no sign of the system hard disks. Is it a known fault for NTpassthru not to work on SBS server 2003? Are there any negatives to using ASPI? I though I better clear this up before I start backing up with Retrospect. natew
Hi Hard disks are just hard disks. They are not "backup devices" like tape or CD/DVD so Retrospect does not list them. This is the correct behavior. To backup to hard disk create a "disk" backup set. Thanks Nate
