slothrop
Hi I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for the dynamic disk problem with retro? We have retro server set up on a windows 2003 server with ~+10tb of DAS in 3 enclosures and 6 arrays, now we backup about ~250 clients from different groups so we have the storage on dynamic NTFS file system. Which is cool because storage requirements for the clients is always changing and we can adjust on the fly with this system. But the draw back is that I can’t use drive letters on all the drives they are just named volumes. And retro hates this!!! Ver 6.5 didn’t care it saw the disks fine but 7 only sees the drive with letters. Please help
natew
Hi Named volumes similar to network shares right? Retrospect can access/store data on network shares with no problem so no drive letter should be OK too (I think). What do you mean "Retrospect doesn't see the drives". When you create a disk backup set are the drives listed in the drive selection window? Dumb question but I assume these drives show up in the my computer window? Thanks Nate
