VS160 - hardware compression? software compression?

Hey -- my VS160 tape drive support hardware compression - do I need to set the software compression flag in retrospect?

if i do - will it hurt the compression?

Hi

 

If you enabled hardware compression when you made your backup set (default setting) Retrospect will automatically ignore the software compression setting. In other words, turning on/off software compression won't make a difference.
