WaynePearce
Running Windows XP and Office 2003. V6 came bundled with a maxtorg 160Gb USB/Firewire Retrospect appears to install OK but when I try to run it I get an error message relating to the assert.exe and then an error in "tstring.cpp-370". I have de-installed (including deleting all Retrospect files in the Application data directory) / re-installed but still get same problem. Can anyone help please
natew
Hi How far along do you get before the error occurs? Is it right when you start Retrospect? Thanks Nate
WaynePearce
Yes it is. The error messages appear in a "pop up" style box on the main Retrospect (the one which has the menu across the top and the Options down the left hand side. System then "hangs" and I have no choice but to re-boot. Thanks
natew
Hi If you are using Zone alarm, try disabling or uninstalling it temporarily. Do you get the same problem if your try to boot in safe mode? What type of computer do you have and what devices do you have attached? Thanks Nate
