bigredone Posted February 10, 2005 Report Share Posted February 10, 2005 I'm trying to build a catalog file from disk using the backup set I have stored on my Maxtor drive (running Win2K). The hard drive which I'm restoring had 2 partitions; I've already restored one, but the catalog file doesn't include the backup for the second partition. I've tried recreating the catalog file using the backup set, but I get error messages in the log that many of the backup data set files are missing. The thing is, they're right there on the Maxtor drive- I've even pointed Retrospect to them- but the program won't recognize them. Net result: my catalog file is incomplete, and I can't restore the second hard drive partition. Are those files corrupted and permanently unreadable? I really hope not...
