vksmjones Posted January 27, 2005 Report Share Posted January 27, 2005 I'm trying to duplicate what I was doing in Backup Exec. I have 2, 20 tape libraries that have 2 tape drives each. I had the first cartridge (10 tapes) in each library designated as 'backup set 1' and had all my backup jobs for the week pointing to this backup set. Veritas would utilize all 4 tape drives at once each day as to minimize the backup window as much as possible. At the end of the week, I would remove the first cartridge in each library to send off site and point the backup jobs to the second cartridge in each library. How can I get Retrospect to utilize all 4 tape drives at once from approximately 10 backup jobs from just the first cartridge (10 tapes each) in each library? Mayoff Posted February 8, 2005 Report Share Posted February 8, 2005 If you have the advanced tape add-on, you can write 4 different Backup Sets (one for each storage device) at the same time.
