Guest Posted January 7, 2005 Report Share Posted January 7, 2005 Hi I have a customer using 5.5 (OK I know its old but they will upgrade later this year) and for 2 or 3 years it has worked very well. But last week they had a power failure and now performance is down from 400m/min to maybe 70m/min at best. So backups that used to take a few hours now take a day. Needless to say they aren't happy! natew Posted January 12, 2005 Report Share Posted January 12, 2005 Hi The power failure won't cause Retrospect to slow things down (Retrospect can't do this anyway). How is the drive connected to the machine. Did anything else change after the power failure? Is the tape drive disabled in the Windows device manager?
