jgalt
I have searched the forum, and talked to dantz support (for a fee) with no hits on this. I get an error running retro express v5.15 on win98. The error says DT Item not wide enough (here's an example): + Retrospect Express version 5.15 Automatically launched at 11/18/2004 10:00 PM DT item not wide enough. DT item not wide enough. Quit at 11/18/2004 10:00 PM The script is set to run twice a week at 10pm. When I recreate the tape backup set and start the backups over witha new set of tapes, the script runs several times successfully before eventually returing this error. I can run the script by hand and it works every time, even after the nightly script has failed (so it doesn't seem to be some file limit problem). Tech support hadn't even heard of the DT error. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
natew
Hi Have you specified a time limit for how long Retrospect can run in the preferences? I wonder if this refers to a time window of some kind... Thanks Nate
jgalt
I looked, and couldn't find any time limit settings in Express. There is an option for when to start a script, but not when to stop one. Did I miss it? Plus it runs the first few times, when logically it would need the most time to back up the drive. Then it fails later doing incremental backups, with no data being transferred at all. Thanks. j
natew
Hi Sorry, Retrospect Express doesn't allow you to set time limits. Have you tried a full uninstall/reinstall of Retrospect? There may just be some corruption in your Retrospect files. nate
