johnlahovski Posted April 30, 2002 Report Share Posted April 30, 2002 We are running Retrospect 5.6.127 with the latest RDU on Windows 98SE. We use a Dell Powervault 120T DDS-4 autoloader. When the magazine is changed, Retrospect will do a thirty second scan of the magazine. It shows the contents of the previous mag. We find it necessary to go to Devices >Right click on the drive SONY DAT DDS-DC and choose scan media. This takes 5-7 minutes but the new magazine will be recognized. I suspect this may be because the tape names are the same in both magazines. Has any one experienced this? Is there a setting in Retrospect to invoke a full scan on the initial magazine recognition?
