popsound Posted April 9, 2002 Report Share Posted April 9, 2002 I'm using 4.3 on a Macintosh. I have a storage set and a dlt backup made in 4.3. However, when I try to restore and the media comes up, there is a small lock icon next to the tape and it says "wrong version." Any ideas as to what this means? Thanks. It turns out that the tape was made using 4.3 and the install on the restore machine was 4.2 (thought they were all the same). Iss there anyway to tell which version of Retrospect made a particular archive? We upgraded to 5.0 under OS X and it worked well. Incidentally, 5.0 under OS 9.2.2 crashed everytime it tried to access the tape. I didn't have the patience to look for a conflict, but I imagine it was an extension thing.
